Film Choreographer & Movement Director

Artistic Director, Choreographer & Dancer, Anna Watkins has been working with film for various different projects. Creating short dance films and choreography for music artists. Exploring new ways of working together with artists to create cross art form collaborations.

Anna's credits include:

• Choreographer for singer-songwriter Lucy Wroe, 2023 new music video
• ​Movement Director for Soul City Arts production 'Waswasa' performed at Birmingham Hippodrome, 2022
• Short dance film IDENTITY was selected for DEMETERA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL - PARIS 2021 in collaboration with composer + singer-songwriter Zosia Jagodzinska
• ​Short dance film IDENTITY created in 2020 lockdown, was selected for FLUX Online Festival 2020 in collaboration with composer + singer-songwriter Zosia Jagodzinska
• Choreographer & dancer for upcoming singer-songwriter, Isabelle Brawn new music video
• ​Commissioned as a choreographer and movement director for Film Oxford | Shadowlight Artists 2020. Working with disabled artist, Danny Smith on his new dance for camera film. Funded by Arts Council England. Danny won the Kat Award for Best Dance Video at the Together! 2020 Disability Film Festival
• Commissioned as a choreographer and dancer for Film Oxford | FLUX Moving Image project, collaboration between dance, film and sound. Funded by Arts Council England. Screened at Modern Art Oxford, Leeds Festival & Reading Festival. 'MORTELLE' was nominated for an award for 'Best Musical or Experimental Film' - ​Oxford International Short Film Festival 2020
• Choreographer and dancer for Watkins Dance Company, Arts Council England funded Spring 2018 Tour short dance film, in collaboration with Film Oxford celebrating the 100 year women vote. Film presented as part of Triple Bill tour
